¡Hola, Latinas!

Bienvenidos a the Healthy Latina blog! My name is Michelle Rivas and I’m so glad you stopped by to check out my journey to better health and living happier every day (without losing my Latino culture). I began writing this blog in 2012 because soy una Latina y quiero enseñar Latinas acerca de la salud.

This blog is a collection of all things health, nutrition, disease prevention, family, and life as a Latina living in Chicago trying to find balance.

I have a master’s degree in Health Communication from DePaul University and I love writing about health. I  strongly believe everyone should have the right tools to live a healthy lifestyle, especially Latinas. There is definitely a gap of health news, advertisements and health education for Latinas. Let’s change this!

  1. I love your blog. Just found it. Loving the purple! And your content is great. I agree that the content isn’t there for latinas and your bilingual approach is so easy to relate to – especially the Spanglish.
